Our passion for our region is not limited to renowned places

During every period in history, traces left by mankind in our region now constitute a staggering heritage, too rich to be summarized in just a few lines and which we invite you to come discover.

  • Bordeaux – all of its 18th century architecture, the largest following Saint PetersburgHenceforth a Unesco world heritage site, the city with 350 ranked or listed monuments unveils its French architecture and finely crafted facades that catch the sun’s rays. Refurbished quays, renovated wine storehouses, 18th century facades and contemporary architecture, wine, culture, heritage, history… the capital of Aquitaine has changed its image and is undergoing a metamorphosis scheduled to be completed in 2030.
  • The Jurisdiction of Saint-Emilion is a remarkable example of a historic vineyard landscape which has remained intact and is still active today. The historic Jurisdiction of Saint-Emilion exceptionally illustrates intensive winegrowing in a precisely delimited zone.
  • Cave paintings – Vezere Valley in Dordogne: 147 prehistoric sites dating back to the Paleolithic era and 25 painted caves. It is particularly interesting from an ethnological and anthropological, as well as an aesthetic point of view because of its cave paintings, especially those of the Lascaux Cave, whose discovery in 1940 was of great importance for the history of prehistoric art.

We’ll guide you through Entre deux Mers between fortified towns and Romanesque churches, in the Basque country’s most beautiful villages between traditions and authentic culture, or along the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains between Cathar castles and the walled cities of Carcassonne and Albi.
